I graduated top 20 in my class from York Catholic High School in York, PA in June of 2011. I enrolled at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, VA and graduated on time in May 2015. I received a bachelor's of science with a major in mathematics while at Virginia Welseyan College, while receiving the President's Scholarship, the highest scholarship the college offers.
Experience
Throughout my four years of college, I tutored my friends and fellow classmates in a wide variety of subjects, ranging from basic college algebra to physics to advanced calculus and linear algebra classes. I got a 1940 on my SAT and received a 720 on the math section of the test. While in high school, I took AP Calculus AB and received a score of a 5 on that test, the highest score available. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping others and it gives me a great sense of satisfaction to use what I have learned and help others learn as well. While at VWC, I took classes ranging from Calculus 2 to advanced probability to specialty classes like multivariable calculus and combinatorics. I also was required to take physics 1 and 2 for my major and took other classes such as intro and inorganic chemistry and computer programming.

Hobbies
While enrolled at Virginia Wesleyan, I was a 4 year starter on the school's baseball team and 2 year captain, where I learned valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership, and good work habits as well as time management. Also, being a member of the baseball team, we participated in several volunteer opportunities around the community, including a tutoring/mentoring program with elementary school children in a local neighborhood. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family/friends, watching sporting events on TV, and following a strict workout program.
